A friend of ours has just launched Beaver Professional, a hair care brand which sells Keratin hair thickener and Argan Oil shampoo – all the rage apparently.

Best Man’s Speech

A few weeks ago I did my second best man speech – but this was a big one, the grooms dad a professional speaker, and the brides dad an army sergeant – so I was just a little worried.

I used Ed Gallois’ Best Man Speech System which is a PDF based eBook designed to take the worry out of writing and researching the best man speech – and it was great. A 7 day step by step guide works through the formalities, who to address and who to thank when – and then works through how to compose a funny and engaging speech.

So I spent ages putting everything together, using Ed’s guide to get my head around what I needed to do, then tailored the speech accordingly – putting the right bits in the right places.

At the end of the day I think I nailed it, everyone was laughing and we had a great time. Few tips from my experience:

Keep it short
Don’t insult or swear
Pause if there is laughter so everyone hears the punchlines
Use props to engage the audience
I used a poem/limerick at the end to being the seriousness back in, while keeping it fun and engaging

We’ve been beavering away on this for a long time now, and the idea has been kicking around for ages. CyclePrices.co.uk is a comparison site for cycle goods – bikes, components and accessories.

With cycling going through a massive growth spurt recently, with huge success for Mark Cavendish in the World Championships and Tour de France – it seems everyone is buying bikes and bits.
